Plumbing and heating in Chester
How boilers, pipes and bathrooms actually work, written for Cheshire homes.

An overview
This site explains the plumbing and heating problems that come up in real Cheshire homes, and how they get fixed. We started it because most of what's written online is either too vague to use or written to sell you something. We'd rather just tell you how a thing works.
So you'll find pieces on what happens during an annual boiler service, what changes when you replace a gas boiler, and why a power flush is sometimes the honest answer to lukewarm radiators. There's local detail too — the old terraces and shifting ground around Northwich, the hard water that scales up kettles and cylinders right across the county.
Read it before you call someone out, or read it after to understand what they did. Either way, you'll know a bit more than you did.
